- Bug fixes and improvements.
2.0.1 — 4 October 2026
UI optimization, screen video and screenshots, and a few window options.
UI optimization
- A much faster interface: switching tabs, pressing a hotkey and starting a run could lag noticeably in 2.0.0. They now respond at once, a significant improvement in how Recorder feels to use.
What's new
- Video on a watch row: a watch row can film the screen when it fires. Recorder keeps the last few seconds in memory, so the video starts before the event and carries on after it. Choose the seconds either side, 30 or 60 frames a second, the quality and size, which screen, an area of it, and whether the pointer shows. The video is saved in the Recorder folder in your Documents and sent with the row's Telegram and Discord messages. Part of Basic and Pro.
- Screenshot and record_video commands: take a picture of a screen, or film it while the macro carries on, from a script or the Image group of the step menu. They work in exported programs too. Part of Basic and Pro.
- Hotkeys for screenshots and video: a hotkey can take a screenshot or start filming. Capture a whole screen, a window picked by part of its title or its program, a region, or a box you drag each time, like a snipping tool. A recording has the same settings as a watch row's video: length, 30 or 60 frames a second, quality, size, format and the pointer. Press the same keys again to stop and keep what was filmed. Part of Basic and Pro.
- A recording bar: while Recorder films, the status bar shows what is recording and how long is left. Minimal and Live mode show it along the top edge.
- Settings and manual pages inside the window: a command's settings and its manual page open over Recorder instead of in a window of their own. Picking a screen there flashes it, so you can see which one you chose.
- Crops stored encrypted: your crop library is now an encrypted file on your computer. Recorder converts the crops you already have the first time it connects. Older versions of Recorder cannot read the new file.
- Always on top: Recorder's window stays above other programs. It is on by default; turn it off in the View menu or in Settings, General.
- Minimal mode on two rows: a button at the end of the strip puts the controls on a second row, for a narrower window.
- Startup tips you can act on: the tips shown at launch now hold the switches, values and hotkey boxes themselves, so you can change a setting right there.
2.0.0 — 1 October 2026
Your own hotkeys, a clipboard history, and a live view of everything that is running.
What's new
- Hotkeys: your own key combinations, from any program. Open a program, a file, a folder or a website, or play a saved macro. Part of Basic and Pro.
- Clipboard: a history of what you copy, with the items you pin kept on top. Add items of your own, drag them into order, and paste any of them with a hotkey. It stays on your computer. Part of Basic and Pro.
- Live view: a third layout beside Full and Minimal. One board for the running macro, the monitors, the timed actions, the hotkeys, the schedule, the clipboard and the log. Arrange the boxes your way, or float any of them in a window of its own.
- Scheduler: an entry can repeat, a set number of times at an interval from one second to seven days. Pause schedules holds the queue.
- Monitors: a watch row can run a saved script when it fires. It pauses what is running and carries on afterwards.
- Timed Actions: each timer can wait before its first run.
- Auto clicker: faster and steadier, up to 1,000 clicks a second, with rate buttons that set the wait and the hold together. Scatter sets horizontal and vertical separately, and humanized movement has a travel speed of its own, on Basic and Pro.
- Crop burst: after you draw a box, keep photographing it for up to 20 seconds, then flip through the pictures and crop as many as you like. Part of Basic and Pro.
- Humanized movement is now part of Basic and Pro. On Free, a humanized move travels in a straight line. Your macros are unchanged.
- A red padlock on the tab of anything your plan does not cover: Agent, Monitors, Timed Actions, Scheduler, Hotkeys and Clipboard. The tab still opens, so you can see what it does.
- An installer: Recorder now comes as a setup program as well as the standalone version. It installs for you alone, with no administrator rights, adds Start menu and desktop shortcuts, and updates in place.
1.0.2 — 25 September 2026
Two new tabs: the Scheduler and Timed Actions.
What's new
- Scheduler: start a saved macro at a date and time you choose, or on Pro an Agent goal. Scheduled runs wait their turn, one after another. Recorder has to be open. Part of Basic and Pro.
- Timed Actions: key presses, clicks and waits that repeat on a timer, alongside a macro, the clicker or the monitors, or on their own. A timer can pause the macro while it fires. Part of Basic and Pro.
- Window commands: bring a program's window to the front, wait for it, move, resize, maximize, minimize or close it, found by its title. Find… picks the title from the windows that are open.
- The Run button starts what the open tab is about: the macro, the clicker, the agent, the monitors or the timed actions. The tabs' own Start buttons are gone, and the clicker is started and stopped with the same keys, F4 and F6.
- Agent: choose any thinking level, saved jobs keep their settings, and the window minimizes during a run rather than disappearing.
- The Script tab lists the scripts in your scripts folder, so you can switch between them from the tab.
1.0.1 — 19 September 2026
A speed option for the AI features, and a fix to the timing of recorded clicks.
What changed
- High speed: a tick box on the assistant and on the Agent tab. A turn, or an agent step, is answered about four times faster and costs about twice the credits. It is off by default, and the label carries the price where the box is.
- A recorded click no longer adds a 200 ms pause when it replays. A recording already captures the real gap before the click, so the pause was being counted twice and every recorded click ran slower than the one you performed. A pause you set yourself is unchanged, and still starts at 200 ms.
1.0.0 — 15 September 2026
First public release. Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit. One file, Recorder.exe, in a 76 MB zip; no installer.
What shipped
- Recording and playback of keyboard and mouse, with global hotkeys (F2 to F6 by default), speed from 0.25× to 10×, a repeat count, test runs of selected rows, and hide-while-running.
- Two views of the same macro: a step list for reordering and retiming, and a readable script with sections, labels, loops, conditions, variables and functions. Explain, Auto complete and Check syntax sit under the editor.
- Image anchors: named screen crops captured in the Images view, so a click lands on the button wherever it is now. Colour or shape matching, confidence, timeout, region and offsets per step.
- Reading text from the screen with two local readers that cost nothing and an AI reader for the hard cases, plus ask_ai for questions about a region of the screen.
- Monitors: watch rows that look for a picture, or ask the AI, while a macro runs or on their own, and answer with a popup, a Telegram or Discord message, a screenshot, or by stopping the run.
- Auto clicker: one click, one key or a recorded sequence of points at a set rate. Hold mode on every plan; jitter, scatter and a wander box on paid plans.
- Export as a program: a single .exe holding the macro, its crops and the local text reader, with an optional control window.
- AI assistant that writes a macro from a description and repairs its own compile errors, and Agent mode, which carries out a typed goal on the live desktop one step at a time.
- Licensing: sign in with email and password, one computer at a time, and a 7-day trial of every paid feature on each new account.
Known limits at release
- Macros that use the AI (ask_ai, the AI reader, AI watch rows) cannot be exported as a program.
- Recorder does not disguise itself or get around other programs' anti-automation checks. The only thing it can hide is its own window, from screenshots and screen recordings, if you choose to. It is an automation tool, not an evasion tool.
How updates reach you
Recorder compares the version it is running with the releases we have shipped and shows a notice when there is a newer one. Every release is listed on this page and announced on Discord. The download page always holds the current version.
