A screen recorder with a link: record, stop, paste

With Myna Cloud turned on, the link to your recording is on the clipboard the moment you stop. Paste it into a chat or an email and it plays in any browser. You need a free Myna account.

Updated 20 October 2026 · Sharing needs a Myna account. It is free, and sharing is off until you turn on Myna Cloud.

1. The short answer

Sign in with a free Myna account, turn on Myna Cloud, record, and press stop. The link is already on your clipboard. The recording uploads in the background, and the link plays in any browser, so the person you send it to does not need Myna.

Sharing is off by default. Until you turn it on, a recording stays a file on your PC.

2. Record and get the link in five steps

  1. Download and install Myna Screen Recorder, then sign in with a Myna account. A free account is enough. Without an account you can record, but not share.
  2. Turn on Myna Cloud. Sharing is off until you do.
  3. Choose what to record, Screen, Window or Region, pick a frame rate and press Record. PC sound and your microphone can be recorded together.
  4. Press stop. The link is on your clipboard at once.
  5. Paste it wherever you want to share it. The upload carries on in the background, so how soon a long video is ready to play depends on its length and your connection.

3. What the other person sees

They open the link in a browser and the video plays. There is nothing to install. Videos from a free account play up to 720p, and with the full version links play up to 4K.

There is no bandwidth cap and no limit on how many links you make. What is limited is storage: 2 GB of Myna Cloud on a free account.

5. Other ways to get a link

Without a recorder that uploads for you, the usual route is to record, wait for the file to finish, upload it to a drive or a video site, set who can see it and copy the link. Myna starts the upload for you and puts the link on the clipboard when you stop.

Tools built around sharing, such as Loom, add team workspaces, comments and information about who watched. If you need those, keep using one of them. Myna has none of that, and it only runs on Windows. There is a plain side-by-side in the Loom alternative page.

6. The limits, plainly

  • Sharing needs a Myna account, and it is off until you turn on Myna Cloud.
  • On a free account, links play up to 720p and videos are kept for 15 days.
  • Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit only.
  • No comments, team workspaces or viewer analytics.
