A free Loom alternative for Windows: record, stop, paste the link
Myna Screen Recorder puts a share link on your clipboard when you stop, as Loom does, and a free Myna account records at any length. It has no team features, and it only runs on Windows.

1. The short answer
If you mostly want to record your Windows screen and send a link, Myna Screen Recorder does that for free. Sign in with a Myna account, turn on Myna Cloud, record, stop, paste. A free account has no recording length limit, no watermark and 2 GB of Myna Cloud.
If your team needs shared workspaces, comments or to see who watched, or if you are on a Mac, keep Loom. Myna has none of those.

- You work in a team and need a shared workspace, comments and reactions on videos, or information about who watched.
- You use a Mac, a browser extension or a phone. Myna runs on Windows 10 (version 2004 or later) and Windows 11, 64-bit, and nothing else.
- Your videos and your team's habits already live in Loom and nothing is missing.

4. What is different about Myna
- The free allowance is storage, not a number of videos. A free account has 2 GB of Myna Cloud, and the number of links is not limited. There is no bandwidth cap.
- No length limit on a free account, at up to 1080p and 60 fps. Without an account a recording is limited to 720p, 30 fps and 5 minutes.
- Priced by storage. The full version comes with 50, 100, 200 or 500 GB of Myna Cloud for $6, $8, $12 or $20 a month, and a new account starts with a 7-day trial.
- More to record with. Draw on the screen while you record, show click rings, a pointer glow and the shortcuts you press, add a webcam, text or a logo, save the last minutes with instant replay, then trim, crop or turn the video into a GIF.
5. The limits, plainly
- Sharing needs a Myna account, and it is off until you turn on Myna Cloud.
- On a free account, links play up to 720p and videos are kept for 15 days.
- No team workspaces, comments or viewer analytics.
- Windows only.
The full version raises the limit on links to 4K and adds private and downloadable videos.
6. Moving over from Loom
Nothing moves by itself. Videos in your Loom account stay there, and the links you already sent keep pointing at Loom. If you plan to stop using Loom, download the videos you want to keep from Loom first, following Loom's own help pages. New recordings can go to Myna.

Does Myna have comments or team features?
